so apparently people use the internet more than they watch television. according to a recent report, “the average internet user now spends an average of 41 days online each year, the equivalent of 164 minutes a day, compared with 37 days each year or 148 minutes each day spent watching TV“.. 164 minutes a day?! my eyes would be grateful for something less than 500 minutes once in a while.

i wonder what counted as an ‘internet user’.. someone who uses the internet at least 2 and a half hours a day perhaps..

still, it’s a jump forward from the last survey which reckoned that internet/tv time was about equal. not to mention it’s a nice omen for the multicasting trials by the bbc and itv..
