We were there in late April and some roads were still deep in snow... Sorry to have spoilt your holiday, but I'm sure you'll find an alternative (viewing point). And there are loads of other National Monuments in Arizona, which are also well worth a visit! Well, the canyon’s over 200 miles long, so there should be a few alternative viewing points :-)
