Hello. I am Matt Northam. I’m a web and graphic designer and I dabble in some coding type stuff with Flash and PHP. Mostly though, I just like making things look nice.
a bit of context
I’ve been making web stuff for over a decade now, using everything from homestead’s old drag and drop java page creator to Frontpage stuff hosted on a free Angelfire account. They weren’t necessarily pretty but they were fun to do. Nowadays I’m fairly committed to producing pages that are constructed with valid xhtml and css. It’s the future present.
I currently work at Bournemouth University, trying to equip the youth of today with the skills they’ll need for Web 3.0 or whatever it’ll be called next. It’s fun. I like it a lot. Vaguely tied into that is the ‘resources‘ section here which consists of tips and things that I’ve written up for students. Feel free to use them too.
I’m also available for the occasional bit of web design or graphic design work so if you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

This site is my ‘personal’ place on the interweb and it primarily hosts my blog. I mostly talk about things I’ve done or things I think are worth talking about. What can I say(?) It’s a blog.
My other site is scpgt - my portfolio. It’s had it’s fair share of recognition, which is nice.
