Guerrilla signs, Alabama chicken factories, and web audio decks

Listening to

Guerrilla Public Service Redux on 99pi. All about people taking it upon themselves to improve public signage, with the main story being about an exit sign on the 110 freeway in LA. It’s a fine testament to what you can do (and get away with) if you’ve got a cause.

Our Town – Part 1 on This American Life. So says them:

We spent eight months and did over a hundred interviews to try to bypass the usual rhetoric and get to the bottom of what really happened when undocumented workers showed up in one Alabama town.

It’s a great piece of investigation, really engaging, and with (obvious) parallels to a lot of conversations taking place these days. Without wanting to get all clickbaity, the results might surprise you! (Or not. Basically, racists be racist.)

A web audio api set of turntables with a mixer – over on codepen: https://codepen.io/mattn/full/QOJrmz/.

Taking photos of

Bournemouth Pier at sunset. I’ve done this before, but it really is the best time of year for this particular shot – I find it hard to resist making the stroll down after work.
